    I think that is a great idea. Gently clean it as much as possible then clear coat so you save your grandpa's marks to save for future generations.

    Thankfully I have two boys and two grandfather's that left me with their welding equipment. I guess my boys both have their own welder and O/A setup already. One of them we do not trust with fire yet.
