    Well this thread got really interesting to read. But I do agree with others about de-burring the parts before shipping.

    Re: Can Girls Do Metalwork?

    Geezus guys, I don't want to see another thread go south as this one is starting to. No need for that garbage.

    Not hawking my daughter's talents at all with these posts but she is a very talented girl with auto body repair but is also a skilled animal veterinarian. Where I'm going with this is never discount what a woman or a man can do with the right upbringing and determination. Sitting in front of a television of computer beating on your chest or voicing you opinion in a game of one-upmanship serves no purpose IMO.

    I've not watched the videos or even really have a clue what the original poster is hawking but no need for the direction I see the thread going.

    I'll shut up now.

    Thanks,

    Slob that's pretty cool. My daughter knew her way around my shop for her age. When the kids in hood wanted to raise their bike seats they went to my kid after school. She always put my tools back where she got them. She knew it was the rule. She did good. Looks like your daughter knows her way around your shop too. kudos!

    Thanks man;

    I'm quite proud of that girl and our son both. As adults with families of their own, they know they can come to mom and pop for advice or help when it's needed if it cannot be reconciled with good attempt first. Other than use of the shop they really don't bother me too much..... Never had much to do with bicycles with them; motorcycles, atv, remote control cars, planes, etc. were the rage however and the shop floor was used a lot for testing grounds.

I dont do it to make money. If I calculated the money that actually comes in by the amount of hours I put into it, it would be $.01 per hour.

    Thanks a bunch. She was always one I could count on to backfill the shoes of a terminated employee in the middle of a job when I was in that business.

    Fact is, you're peddling your product here.....Better guys than you have been shown the door for doing similar.

    No sir I am not. I haven't sold any benders to anyone on this site and I dont expect to. I am merely sharing my content, projects, just like everyone else. It just happens to be in video format.

    I am in conversations with moderators and no one has asked me to leave the site

    Advice, wear your thick skin here. Can be a rough bunch. I'm glad to see girls/women doing this kind of work. Wish I had a hot gal that wanted to work side by side with me doing what I love.
