    Nice workmanship but it looks like the roller used for a boat trailer. It also looks like a rigid mount, I don't see anything that looks like it would absorb any energy. Am I missing something?

    Parachute mount for a drag car. More specifically, that anchor point for the cords.

    "Kinetic Energy Reducer". That's cute.


    "Reducer" would be correct IMO as the parachute is used to reduce vehicle speed which in turn reduces its kinetic energy.
