    Miller Big 40 Disassembly Question

I have a 1971 Miller Big 40 welder with a Continental F-163 4 cylinder gas engine. The gas tank was never drained when the welder was last used (decades ago), so it has congealed gasoline at the bottom of the tank. How big a job is it to remove the tank from these units?

    Thanks in advance.

Take the hood off and you will see the strap bolts/nuts the need to come off and take the fuel line off the sediment bowl

Thanks. From what you described, it sounds like the tank is pretty accessible.

If the dead fuel won't come loose through the chemical/ pressure washer (small chain sliding around the inside)process, have a radiator shop boil it out for you, done it tons of times.
If you find holes PM me.
