Shop in Minnesota closing, equipment, supplies, etc must go

Hi Everyone. I am posting this for my father in law, who doesn't do the internet. After 40+ years in the business he is retiring and has sold his shop. The new owners are going to the use the building for a different kind of business so all his tools, equipment and supplies are up for sale. If you are local he said he's more than willing to have you come in and look around. Below are some images of the larger things, there is a lot more there and you can see more images here: http://candnbrett.com/gallery.html?level=album&id=205 Essentially everything is for sale so if you see something of interest just ask. As far as prices he's pretty overwhelmed right now so feel free to make an offer.

Thats a lifetime collection right there. For those interested please understand this transition to selling those possessions can be extremely emotional for lifers who have built up such a huge collection of tooling. Go easy and be respectful

    best of luck with sale

I am glad it is that far away because both SA's would probably be following me home with some other stuff.

Put the Lincolns on eBay, you'll get good money. I sold an SA-200 in rougher (but fully operable) shape a year ago for $1800

I might suggest that. I believe he has about 60 days so in an effort to prevent the hassles with shipping we'll try this forum and craigslist. Thanks for the heads up though!

Looking at the pictures I see a sad event, the closing of another old school shop. I would imagine that the work that came out of this shop was of a high quality. I wish you good luck with the sale.

What items are you interested in? This is still a working shop so the invite to take a look around would be by appointment only. If you're interested PM me some days and times that work and we'll get a time setup.

Lets see if I understand this right, the owner is retired, the building is sold, he wants to sell the equipment but yet its a working shop that requires an appointment to enter?

The purchase agreement is in hand, so yes the building is sold. They are still finishing jobs and have about a month and a half before closing, plus additional time after closing to clear equipment and supplies. It is still a privately owned property and not a store front for people to come and go at their leisure.

What are the specs on that lathe and what are you looking for on that? It looks like something that'd fit right nicely in my shop.
