    This is why I hate tapered pipe thread in hydraulics, the rule of thumb is it either it's to loose to not leak, or it's tight enough to crack whatever you installed it in, valve body or filter head, etc. It's true, welding, brazing, sealers, complete waste of time, if you could get it to seal up which is near impossible especially as the porous cast is now totally oil contaminated, the heat would warp the body and the spools will bind forever. Really nice job though building it!
