    Help get me sparking

    I'm new around here;

    I just started dabbling with welding about a month ago. I have an old (new to me) Weld n power 150, code 8999 that runs great but having problems with one of the leads. When I got the welder the negative "post" was loose, and I didn't think it was an issue until it blew off after I started the engine. I think I have all the parts but not sure, except the now fragmented interior washer. I think it is ceramic? This is my first welder and would really like to start playing/practicing. Can anyone help get me operational again?

    Thanks Yankeepac

    Have you tried calling Lincoln? The other option would be to buy some Dinse panel mount sockets, but you will likely have to enlarge the existing holes, and you'll have to buy matching Dinse connectors for the ends of your leads.

    you need to open up the case and see what disconnected on the inside, shouldnt be that hard to put back together..probably be a good idea to open up to clean out any dust or dirt and do some general maintenance ..

    I am going to insert this thought right here, and right now. Duane, thanks so much for continuing to help out on this board like you just did. I appreciate it tremendously!! I just wish Steve and Danagear would keep active here.

    Steve and Dana gear's input is always second to none but some of us just have a little extra time than others on occasion as I'm sure you are aware.

    I know Steve has been super busy and bowed up for awhile now and I imagine the same goes for Dg. Speaking of which - I need to get back to work too.

    Re: Help get me sparking

    Thank you so much for your help/advise. Went over to my local Airgas, and although they didn't have the part, they are ordering it for me. 83 cents. I splurged and got 4. Hope this does the trick.
