    Drill Press Stand

I had this drill press on a work bench for many years. Relocation required it having a floor stand. Asthetically I think this turned out really well. Just used angle iron and schedule XX pipe (don't recall rating. 2". I'm not up on those things). One problem is it has just a tad too much flex to it and the press will oscillate a little, it is heavy. So, I do need to add a 1" square tube down bar from the bottom of the plate to the rear legs. oh well.

I like using angle iron like this for basic legs. I may do this more when needed.

I have machine feet under the corners, that's what the welded nuts were for.

Nice stand, you need to put a cookie sheet under the drill's base.

e-fence collars. works unbelievably well. 2 acres and no fence between us and wildlife, but the dogs stay contained.

For the flex just run some 3/8" round stock from the end of each leg up to the drill base.

I was a dealer for Tri-Tronics for many years and used them on all my dogs with near perfect success. UNTIL I wound up with a Coconut Retriever. He gets off on running back and forth across the line.A truly "Sick Puppy"

3, that's a handful. I have a mixed rescue. He's getting old and a bit senile, stands there looking out into space until you call him, been a great dog.

Looks great and the pups too. In case you don't know they do make extra heavy nuts and threaded rod couplings.
A standard 3/8 nut is 9/16" wrench while a extra heavy is 11/16". Just saying.
