Wow!!!! Zap, it seems everyone would have done it different. Perhaps each critic should create their own boat. We will then critique theirs.

If you , and Mrs. are pleased with yours, (Yes I am envious), enjoy.

I am never correct, and only occasionally right. I believe there are 50 perfect boats for each boater, and 50 times as many perfect boats as there are boaters. This boat pleases you. If it also pleases Mrs. it is perfect! You will never amass a greater treasure than a good wife. Making her happy is your highest priority. Jolly Roger, or Hello Kity; yes ma'am!

I had a battery charger die with in the last year. I suspect it was from moisture that it was subdued to while charging batteries over the winder while in the Stern cubby.

I had that charger in the pic actually go into the lake!
Came home from shopping while charging the batteries and the boat lanyard holding it to the dock failed in the front and the boat swung around and pulled the charger off the dock.
It pulled the plug out of the extension so I didn't pop the breaker..

Brought it up with the charge side cables...
Let the water drain out and left it upside down in the sun all afternoon.

    Still works just fine!

Put the charger on the boat from now on to use it, if you already haven't. The 2" tubing will help hold it in place from sliding off. Get better mooring lines, too.
What happened with the idea of adding a solar charging system to it? Is that still in the works?

The system smartdave wants me to use has a panel as big as the canopy!
I get the panel and he has the rest of the system.

Maybe next season after some thought....

    Re: Well........Its a start anyway.....

With a panel that size, what 3'x5-6', will probably be able to power the trolling motor somewhat by itself, at reduced speed of course. Those batteries shouldn't be hurting for power like that. With that much charging capacity you could be able to add another trolling motor up front with the batteries needed and be able to pull a water skier with that rig. Plus with two motors rigged like that would add exceptional maneuverability to it. Turn one one way and the other in the opposite and spin it on it's axis. Then turn both in the same direction and move directly sideways. THAT would blow some people's minds, if you had the forward one mounted completely below deck out of sight. Probably with a little help from SmartDave a panel could be made to mount between the seats for a speed control for the motor(s) as well as directional control(s) forward reverse.
