Head gasket is .042 thick and 2.8" diameter. We can up with 1/4 cc but that seems a little low after looking at it. Thanks a lot !!

4.238cc = .25ci
i'm not the best at math but i think you have it in inches, needed to convert to cc.

Yup. This ^ is correct.

Curious here ..... why the question in the first place?

Yep, math units were wrong - cubic inches is what you get with inches as your measurement scale.

My buddy got cc and ci mixed up. I was thinking no way is that 1/4 cc. Thanks so much guys!!

I'm trying to get the compression up on a HF predator motor. I just called my buddy and he has it figured out now. I got to take of .080 to get this motor from about 7.5- to 10-1. Specs say it's 8.5 to one but I think it's wrong sense the engine spec is wrong. It's only 181 cc instead of the advertisement 212. It's got 2.8" bore and 1.8 stroke with 22cc head.

9. ## Re: How many cc is in the this head gasket?

I must be missing something. CC should include stroke length. No?

Just woke up so I could be confused.

Cubic centimeters is volume.

If ur asking about motor size it's bore x bore x stroke X .7854 That's gives ci per cylinder. Divided by .061 it come to 181cc or 11 ci. That ones easy for me to remember

I just need to check head to piston clearance then if I got about .160 I'll take off .080. I can always just cut valve pockets in the piston too if needed.

Yes and I just gave formula to answer my question. Oops lol. Maybe I'm smarter then I think, maybe

This makes me think that the engine manufacturer has confused engine displacement with total cylinder volume before compression. That used to drive me crazy .... I spent my life in the small engine business. I'd go to the mandatory Briggs and Stratton tech seminars for dealers (I was a master Dealer and Master Mechanic) and they'd advertise the engine displacements as being total engine volume. I'd call them on it every time and they'd argue the point .... sheesh!

Actually .... displacement is :

1/2*bore squared * Pi * stroke. If you do this in inches and you want cc multiply by 16.38.
