    small positioner

just saw this ad this morning https://www.banggood.com/110V-Rotary...-view-nr18-mpa .it says about 20 lb capacity on flat and 10 at 90. I've bought a bunch of other stuff from them and am satisfied. the first time I got an email ad from them ,I thought it was a Chinese porn site (banggood.com) and almost deleted it. the positioner is 400 bucks and runs on 110.

I don't see an adjustment for speed just 2 toggle switches. Also it doesn't state the amperage it can handle.
These have been on ebay before and from what i remember it was a really low amperage range.

the ad says 15 watts,so 1 1/2 amps or so. speed says 2-20 ,maybe it only controlled by foot pedal,i don't know.

One of those toggle switches is the on/off (power to the unit) switch and the other is the forward/reverse selector switch. Being as that foot pedal looks to me to be only an on/off type (and not capable of variable out put) I'd have to say there's got be a potentiometer dial some where on it (just not shown) that controls it's RPM.

When Gamble asked about its amperage rating he wasn't talking about how much power the unit draws to run. He wanted to know how much "welding current" it's grounding system is rated for having passed thru it. I'd suspect it's welding current grounding capabilities aren't much.

Overall it looks pretty iffy to me. I can see it not taking much to let the magic white smoke out of it.

I have a small one just like that, name is JINSLU. I had to add a thick copper ground wire at the base of the turntable. I don't use mine anymore it was for a specific job. Still looks brand new if you wanted it. PM me and we can work out a price and I will send pictures.
Now it seems all I own are ESAB products, a lonely Hypertherm 85 and couple of Miller XMT's.
