    Lincoln SP135 T with 0.023"

    Hello guys

This is my first post since I am new in the forum and welding as well.
I got a 2.2 pounds 0.23" ER70S-6 spool to use with my also new Lincoln SP135T, but as far I can see my machine works with 0.025 to 0.035 wires although the manual said "The SP-135T is shipped from the factory ready to feed .023”-.025” (0.6 mm) diameter wire ".
Can I use the 0.023" wire if so what should I expect for. I am in a very tight budget to loose money so help me find out if this wire could work

    Thanks in advance

.023 is the same as .025. Some manufacturers call it one and some call it the other. Just set up according to the manual for .025.

Be sure to check polarity to match the wire with gas.

    Then just start practicing.

    Welcome to the forum.

I have an SP135+ and use. 023 wire exclusively in it. It works just fine. Just be sure you have the feed rollers set up the right way, otherwise it will slip.

.023 is fine for either the SP135 or theSP175+ that I gave to my son. It's a good all around wire for that size of machine.
