So my buddy had a 56' shorthood he wanted to sell...

And lo and behold, he talked me into buying it

For the price I couldn't say no, and it came with a 74(?) sa200 for parts.

It's a sweetheart of a machine, the magneto went out and my buddy never got around to fixing it, I slammed my spare mag onto it and she lit right off, runs like a champ. Haven't tried to weld with her yet, as soon as I got her running it started dumping rain. Gotta love the pacific NW!

Anyways, besides a show and tell (I'll post some pics later, gotta wait for daylight) I do have a question about the machine...

The bracket cover on this one is the square ended style like this machine:

But I'd like to replace it with this style:

    Does anyone sell a reproduction?

    Thanks

You may have to add on to the domed brush cover.

I know this is your machine and you are entitled to do what you want with it but this is a piece of welding history and I encourage you to keep it original. Just my .02.
