What will happen if I use 75/25 Argon/CO2 to weld Stainless Steel

I understand I need Helium/Argon/CO2 to weld stainless steel. What will happen if I use Argon/CO2 to MIG or TIG stainless

Won't work for Tig. With MIG your weld will lack corrosion resistance and will most likely rust. If that doesn't matter, it should give a reasonably sound weld. Since you have a Tig machine, pick up some stainless stick electrode and weld it up.

Won't work at all for tig. It will look like crap for mig stainless.
I just mix my own gas so I don't have to keep a bunch of bottles around.

I think Opus responded with something profound, but I'm not sure.

It'll tend to rust in the joint.

I've welded a lot of stainless over the years. Nowadays very very little, but I reach for an electrode or Blue Demons flux core "mig" to work it. Its easier and faster and gives a nice weld that is easy to polish and make disappear. Unlike aluminum work, most architects want no evidence of a welded joint."StackOdimez" is an aluminum thang.
Blending and polishing is yet another skill to learn. No reason to TIG it.
Pay the price for some Blue Demon flux core and learn to dial it in. It'll save you a huge hassle.

You don't actually "need" helium in the mix. It just helps with the wet out and the nice color. Many pulse mig programs call for 98/2 Argon Co2. 75/25 will work if that's the word you are looking for. It will just be a blackish spattery weld.

Years ago My son wanted beer making equipment. I bought a spool of 312? and a tank of tri mix stainless gas. I made no success of the weld. I was told by someone who should have known that any shielding gas worked for back purge. I ruined a couple beer kegs.

TIG works very well, with argon for both shielding gas, and purge.
