Because it was a ford manifold and now its a chevy symmetrical port manifold. So it had to be cut in many places and shifted to deal with the bank stagger differences as well as to achieve the cross sectional area in the runners that the application called for.

Do you use pulse at all to get such perfectly spaced dimes in your welds, or is that all you?

You are a true artisan. I can stare at your work and drool for hours. Hands down the best tig art I have ever seen. Kudos.

I'm waiting to see when Sunny will say your welds are horrible.

Sorry to contribute to de-railing your for sale thread. But OH MY WORD. I've never seen anything like that weave pattern on aluminum, and I've seen many-a aluminum manifolds. It almost looks like some sort of jeweling or metal finish, not like a bead at all. It looks perfectly flat and even. Or is that just an optical illusion because of the pictures?

Might as well turn this into a TIG thread. Preferably with more pics.

    It'll keep your advert bumped!

Heres another Ive seen of his, dude does work! I think he uses his own tri mix of gases to get that puddle to look the way it does, he uses millers big inverter now, dynasty 350 I think. He mentioned it on YellowBullet.

Hey John , why did you sell your machine in the first place? , was it the power supply difference ? ( inverter vs transformer?) i got a chance to get one for cheap////

Re: Mint Miller Aerowave (free shipping)

The Aerowave machine is/was a hybrid inverter, transformer welder. I believe it was cutting edge in the mid to late 90s. So I bought and killed off a bunch of them. I would still be using them but Miller discontinued boards, so I sent them to the scrapyard.

Before the smoke came out they work amazing as all 3 phase tigs do. It took a couple of years to appreciated the Dynasty series, as I assume John Marcella does as well. I have been offered mint condition Aerowaves in the past but $2k would be max because they would be like the cheap import machines, throwaway.
