I scrapped out 700+ lbs of steel yesterday. I was shocked when they paid me $43. It's up to $.06/lb., wow. Just 3-4 months ago I took 600lbs and it was around $.04.
Anyway yesterday, I picked up 900 lbs from my supplier and he said expect an increase of $.03/lbs soon.
It wasn't long ago I was excited about an increase in scrap from $.01 to $.02.
I have an old truck, I was thinking about selling it for part, I may just scrap it, now.
No real point here, just $.06 is a lot. However, I am sure I will feel it when I purchase steel.
