Little homemade tool for the bandsaw
Well I finally picked up a NT 4x6 saw on sale the other day. Went through it and cleaned it all up, set the tracking. I have to remake the top pulley adjusting plate because mine was bent but managed to get it to track almost 100% straight. on a 2" cut top to bottom, it's off by 1/16" at the bottom. Ran out of time today to play with it until later. But, I made a small tool to keep on the side of it to made adjusting the vice and other nuts a bit easier. I hate having to look around for commonly used tools, so I sacrificed some chicom sockets to the might bandsaw gods.

Re: Little homemade tool for the bandsaw
Excellent idea, I think I'll do one similar for my saw. It is ruff have to stop and look for tools while working. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Little homemade tool for the bandsaw
Great idea, but may I suggest using string instead of chain. If it some how gets caught and/or wrapped around you hand, you can jerk away and break the string, possibly avoiding messing up your nice new band saw with blood and tissue. Don't want that to happen

Re: Little homemade tool for the bandsaw
That's a very good idea. I'm going to run to HD and buy a small carribiner to attach it to the machine since it fits my chopsaw as well. Glad you guys like the idea.
Itsadam, Firezapper had you posted something similar in the past?
