256 upgrades?

Hey, new to the forum but not to welding. Been looking into getting a 256 for about a year now but I'm finally getting to the point to where I can utilize it. Just moved away from the farm where we had a few various welders including a lincoln precisionTig 375 and a Miller 252 mig along with the standard O/A torch. The idea of combining a few processes into one kind of appeals to me now that I don't have all that room and all that money to get the same sort of things. Never had a plasma, but sure would be handy.

But anyways back to the topic, are there any planned upgrades in the near future to get rid of the knobs and put the newer digital panels on it like some of the others I had seen? I don't want to order one then see something new and better come out a month later if ya know what I mean.

Also on the subject, how are the TIG torch coolers yall have? That would be a must if/when I get one of these multi process machines...

Re: 256 upgrades?

As we said before, the newer digital units are different in scope and market, and are not replacing the current models. They will come along side and be part of the entire lineup. As for the PowerPro 256, no upgrades are planned, other than a few connections and minor details on the interior. In other words, the units are remaining the same for the time being. They are up to date
