New to Welding Web. What's Good?

Hi fellow Welding Web members,

My name is Doug.
I'm 23 years old and self taught. (With the help of forums like this)

Most of my friends call me Doug Fab.

This is because Doug Fab does fabrication on race cars and street cars.
I am starting up an automotive repair/ fabrication business here in Rhode Island.

Tough to do anything performance oriented in RI but I have been getting my name out there for doing good work on jobs like,

Engine builds,
Turbo kits,
SS exhausts,
aluminum intercooler piping,
wiring,
and anything perfromance /fabrication oriented.

The equipment I use is,

Lincoln 180Amp Mig
Miller Syncrowave 250
Doall Band saw about a 17" neck
South Bend Table Top Lathe (has about a 6" chuck right now)
Disc sander

I want to get a plasma cutter and vertical belt sander soon.
Very excited to share my work with all of you and also take in as much knowledge and experience as I can from you all.

Thank You,
Doug

Re: New to Welding Web. What's Good?

Hi Ya Doug and Welcome to the Welding Web Family.

Very Nice intro about yourself. Here is some helpful info you might find helpful

If you want to post your location, show your personal avatar, or have a signature on each post telling fellow members where you are located; an avatar of you or your shop, and a signature telling fellow members what types of equipment you have, you can do it all by following these steps:

1. Locate and click on USER CP

2. Under YOUR CONTROL PANEL, YOUR PROFILE, click on EDIT YOUR DETAILS

3. In the EDIT YOUR DETAILS, you can enter Optional Information and Additional Information such as your Location (an other info)

4. While in USER CP you can explore some of the other functions

- Avatar: you can have picture of you, your shop, your wife, children, dog, etc (keep it clean- no nudes)

- Signature: you can list all your equipment, a link to your shop, or maybe some witty saying
