Thought somebody would enjoy these. Tough trucks, tough drivers, and tough country.

The first doood got it right by getting up to speed before going in

Re: So......Ya think yer a truck driver??

I spotted a winch cable on the last one. Still....some of those aren't ballsy but just plain stupid.

the guy backing up....just wow on him for sure

US regulators would have a heart attack if anyone in the US did that.

The tankers pulled the lighter trucks thru, only trucks with enough ballast to keep from going down stream I suppose.

To me it's a prime example of how the Russians defeated the French (Napoleon), and Hitler. Nobody has successfully invaded Russia and been able to hold on. They're tough pragmatic people. And no , I'm not a Red Pinko Evil Commie sympathizer either

I appreciate a can-do attitude.

Re: So......Ya think yer a truck driver??

I remember a few years back when I was really in to off-roading my live axle 4runner, I saw a vid on youtube of a bunch of rooskie off-roaders stuck in an uphill box of mud up to the frames of every rig. They were all digging out the wheels, getting more stuck, digging again. I'm sure they got out, but probably after a full day of digging, winching, etc each vehicle up the hill. Just incredible the bog they were in.

Yeah, you think the driver's brave?
Well, then notice in the second video at about 1:08 when Ivan, "The Human Counterweight," climbs out to the front bumper.

Re: So......Ya think yer a truck driver??

Knowing my luck, I'd break an axle or driveline about half way across that creek.

I guessed what was going to happen from your comment, but while watching the video I still ended up laughing out loud. Seemed almost like a real life Looney Tune.

At least he chose a tree that was far enough away that it wouldn't land on the truck!

Re: So......Ya think yer a truck driver??

Million + accident free miles. Been to all 48 states except Oregon. Pulled flat, reefer, dry box, oversize, heavy haul and hazmat. I know I am a truck driver, no doubt about it. Eeverybody has to learn, so I hope he doesnt get himself or anybody hurt till he gets it. Everone "gets it" at different times. Just my opinion.

Re: So......Ya think yer a truck driver??

I don't know bob have i have seen a lot of wheel holders in gold, red, light blue, orange and mainly WHITE freightliners that would never get it. And guys with 6 years experience training new drivers.
