Who makes a Pulse-On-Pulse MIG for Aluminum?

Is there anyone else who offers the pulse-on-pulse or pulse-over-pulse feature for their MIG welding machines besides the Lincoln Power MIG 350MP?

Longevity has something similar. Migweld 250 and the 303.

I believe those are just the regular GMAW-P MIG pulse welders and I’m searching for a GMAW-POP MIG welder.

Hello X83, Miller has the Invision MPa system, Thermal Arc has a "SP" system, I believe it's called, I am not sure about ESAB although it is likely that they offer a system as well. Check these out. Good luck and best regards, Allan

I was looking at the Thermal Arc welders and they have something called twin-pulse but not sure if it’s the same as pulse-on-pulse welders. The Miller MPA is just a pulse welder with advanced arc controls which allows adjustment of the cone shape.

Thermodyne market in Aussie under the CIG banner and, I have this one in my shop and it has twin pulse.
There are two other larger models also....I have no idea what it's sold as in the US.

Re: Who makes a Pulse-On-Pulse MIG for Aluminum?

Pulse-on-Pulse is Lincoln's name for it but other manufacturers have similar programs. Thermal Dynamics calls it Twin Pulse, Miller calls it Profile Pulse, etc.

Fronius and OTC have it as well but their trade-names escape me at the moment.

You may wish to revisit your impression of the Miller MPa system, it is much more than that. Regards, Allan

OTC Daihen makes a few very nice machines. They are Wave Pulse Mig technology machines.
