Sanitary Pipe Welding

I can weld sanitary pipe very easily so thats not my problem. What my problem is that im not the best fitter. If anyone knows of any books or formulas that could help with pipe fitting or just any tips that would be great.

Pipe Fitters Math Guide by Johnny Hamilton will explain every aspect of the math you need to know to layout any fitting problem you will ever encounter. His book starts from the very beggining arithmetic in small clearly explained chapters with a quiz at the end and the answers in the back of the book and progresses to the right angle trigonometry required to understand pipefitting with exact, easy to understand explanations on the use of a calculator to get the answers to the fitting formulas in our trade. I reccomend and insist every helper who intends to work with me successfully get the book and study it [and have given a few away to the best of them that show some talent] and many guys in the trade still struggling with some fundamental concepts had their eyes opened and were relieved of the burden of knowing they were insecure in their trade skills by studying the book. Audel Pipefitter & Welder Pocket Manual is the best for the beginner. The others are useful references if you know what you are looking for. None have good instructions on how to actually fit pipe on a stand. Are you having trouble physically fitting, or measuring or calculating. The books only really apply to calculating, little to do with measurements and the actual taking of fittings and getting them square, in line, or what have you.
