Re: Centerline Finally Does It!

I wish you much success with your new business venture, I applaud you for going out on your own and making a go of it.

There is a lot of interest in the GTA with respect to racing of all kinds, that should bode well for someone with your obvious skills/talent.

I salute you.

Some New Updates for Everyone.

Got some product cut out and shipped out to another local shop.

Along with the cage work we also had to do some rocker repair.

Re: Centerline Finally Does It!

This pic impresses the hell outta me. How did you weld this? I've done a couple weld-el manifolds myself, and the collector on both of them nearly drove me to gibbering madness!! They ended up a lot more spread out than I wanted them to be, just so I could fit the torch in the joint to weld them up. Very nice work! Keep it up!

Custom Water/Meth Tank

To weld the collector just grab yourself a gas lense and a number 10-12 cup. Then push the tungsten out about a inch or whatever you need and run the gas at about 20-25cfm

Very nice work. What is now your job, start out as a hobby? Is so, how long ago did you begin and how did you learn?

Re: Centerline Finally Does It!

Yea, it started out as a hobby. I built my first car which took me 3 years and didn’t pick up a welder until 09, but didn’t really use it very much as I had a lot of other things going on. Then in 2010 I worked at a chassis fab shop for the summer and got more seat time under the mask, but still not enough. Then in 2011 I decided to start doing small things from home and worked an office job during the day. Then in late 2011 my buddy said that we should open a shop and 2012 we decided to open it up.

I learned a lot of everything on my own and taught myself to tig/mig weld; only class I ever took was an arc welding class. Being self-taught is really an amazing thing because you can always look back to see how you improved and always feel good about it. working at a chassis fab shop did help me learn about cage work and rear ends, but making headers and all that other fun stuff is just from ideas and vision. I feel being creative is a big part of the fabrication business...
