Extension cord

Hello all,

I need to buy a 50 foot extension cord for my Hobart Stickmate. Would a 8/3 cord be enough or do I need to go to 6/3? On ebay they sell a 50 foot 8/3 but it says it's for 35 amps and the stickmate is 50 amps.
