Correct Spoolgun for Hobart RC-250
I am looking for the correct model of spoolgun to run on a 1970's Hobart RC-250 3-phase MIG. I am guessing maybe a Spoolmatic-1? I have the owner's manual but it doesn't make mention of anything relating to spoolguns. I'd appreciate any info. Thanks.

Re: Correct Spoolgun for Hobart RC-250
spoolmatic 1 will likely not work. Your best bet is a new spoolgun with a control box that runs on 115 volts. Miller . Lincoln , CK, Profax MK Products all make 115 volt control box that can be used with many different welders. Or even look at the ready welder. It is a spool gun that works across the arc and also can be used with their control box.
If you already have the spoolmatic 1 go to miller web site and down load the manual for the spoolmate 200. It will give you a clue on how to connect it and what you have to add to the hobart. |
