Greeting from Georgia
Greetings fellow Weldors,
My name is Brian, I live and work in and around NE Ga. I am currently employed as a fabrication engineer for a architectural metal company. I have 20 some years experience as a weldor and and fabricator. My welding experience includes SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW as well as manual lathe and mill and just about any type of shop tool. I also have experience with design cad. I am currently seeking to add CWI to my list of marketable skills. I was hoping maybe someone with some experience as a CWI could give me some pointers on prepareing for the CWI test. I plan on taking the week long seminar and testing offered by the AWS here in Atlanta. I was wondering if there are any textbooks/litrature that I could purchase ahead of time that might help my chances of success. I already have the Welding Inspectors Handbook offered by the AWS, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Brian |
