Re: how to make your own pipe beveler

AWERT,

You are truly a credit to the inventive spirit of a true craftsman. Now get off your @$$ and go patent that thing !!!! Get rich you dumb galoot !!!

Let me know when the product is on the market...Ill buy one, then send you the box for an autograph.

PS.....DAMN you guys are good. I hope some of it wears off on me. Im more jealous of this guys ability to make what he imagines more than just the tool itself. In any case, Job Well Done !!

Turbocad6,
Your welds look a lot better since you started here. I mean what a huge improvement. That beveler is pretty cool too. Glad to see it going good for you.

Re: how to make your own pipe beveler

Great work on both of your inventions!
I could see the circular sander working better if something like a miter gauge was used, Even then it wouldn't match the consistency of two homemade bevelers.

Re: how to make your own pipe beveler

Awesome job on that homemade pipe beveler. I actually got fired up when I saw this thread.. Anyways you saved me a lot of money lol .. Thanks .. I bought all the material that you have in the pictures but I actually got an electric die grinder. So, basically my question is did you put any pressure on the pipe as you were turning it or did you lightly brush up against the bit? That's my only concern because I can't afford to mess up pipe lol.

Thanks again great work!!!
p.s. I am talking about the first beveler that started the thread

Re: how to make your own pipe beveler

yeah it takes a bit of pressure and I take off material little by little to not overheat and burn the stainless so it takes a few minutes to bevel each pipe. glad it helped and saved you some $$
