Table For The Bass Boat..

Ran into some free 1" square .090 wall tubing..
40 feet worth.

Mrs zap has been bugging me to make a table for the boat..
We like to go out and have pizza and such but use the big cooler for the table..
So armed with a few measurements a chop saw and the Miller....this is what I came up with..


Found these in Home Cheapo for the tube ends..


Little "Gorilla Glue" on the ends and..


3/4" Piece of pine with some left over trim from a stained glass frame for the table..


Done finish drying in the yard..


I drilled holes thru the tubing on the ends of the table arms and used wood screws to hold the table down..

Next!

Found some "Hi Performance" cupholders in Autozone and with the aid of some nylon wire-ties..


Installed on the boat using the existing holes from the oar mounts..




Yeah it looks a little high but when you are sitting in the boat it's perfect!

Now what can I make..

I get all the fun jobs..

Nice ! Did you build that at home ??? You may know this but the plastic wire ties when exposed to sunlight will become brittle and break. I know, you only go out on cloudy

Not just ANY dime, it is supposed to be the 1966 dime like the other pics have. That way we know it's authentic. How many others have noted the year on the dime?
That kind of boat is not what I invisioned when I saw the title with BASS BOAT in it. I was thinking of something like the river rockets the tournament guys use with a 200+ HP outboard for main propulsion. I was trying to figure out how that frame was going to work out in one of those till I actually saw the boat it was made for. A farm pond boat.

The 66 dime is packed away in it's own special place in my toolbox so it don't get lost..Spent.

YanMar makes DIESEL outboards, that would qualify as it it not GAS.

Let me clarify that..
NO INTERNAL COMBUSTION MOTORS ALLOWED.

You can't even use a gas auger out there in the winter!
No snowblowers..No R/C boats that run on methanol either because you mix oil into the methanol to make it "work" and that's a also..
