GoWeld battery welder. My new toy

My credit card hates it when I come across deals too good to pass up.
Picked up a practically new... it appears to never have been used at least and all cables etc seemed to have original zip ties on them along with manufacturer inspection tag...
Anyway it is Made in USA... paid less than half what they go for new too. Just ran a bit of flux core to make sure it works as would have to return it today if it doesn't.... and it does...
I used to have a ready welder and can see I already like this one better.. just need to make a couple adapters to hook it up to my Powcon...
It has a seperate 24vdc lead for the controls so it can be ran on 36vdc. "3 batteries" if needed.... just need an adapter to connect to the 24vdc supply on the powcon.
Anyone else use one of these. Thoughts, experiences etc?

Re: GoWeld battery welder. My new toy

Another clueless reviewer... at " Horse trailer world" http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/for...=11488&posts=1 did an article on this and explained how to use it on a repair on an aluminum horse trailer, "We welded on a horse trailer on the side of the road to test GOWELD. Worked better with 100% argon gas verses 25% we tried first. We did break the wire a few times while we got the settings dialed in. " okay what are you doing even reviewing a product if you don't know you need Argon 100% for aluminum MIG? also in one pic its obvious they dragged instead of pushed the aluminum weld... ok Rant over.

Just finished color coding the cables and adding extra connectors for multiple different hookups. Just need to order a 24V DC power supply so I can run the gun off of my powcon welder. I have 24vdc out on the Powcon but my meter is reading it as putting out 31vdc so don't want to fry anything...

Been there, done that, but it was a long time ago. Hope you have good results!

Nice! We'll try not to make too much fun of your bandages.

No bandages. Not like a michael jackson nose job..... just a bit sore and bleeding a little inside my nose and sore throat from the intubation. But ice cream is helping

Re: GoWeld battery welder. My new toy

Just thought I would post that The GoWeld will run fine off a CC machine on Flux core. I have not tried Al or solid wire yet. Manual says nothing about using a CC machine (recommends a CV source) but the Ready Welder I had ran of a CC machine fine and so does the GoWeld...
I set my 330 at about 175 amps and the wire speed ended up being about 200ipm
