61 redface lives again
cleaned the tank and replaced the sediment bowl and fuel line .cleaned 1/2 inch of sludge from the breather added fresh oil .when i was pissin withit yesterday noticed the fuel was shut off , cant be that simple ? yep all it was .now i have another problem she's stuck on high idle .i can idle it down by hand the old f-162 purrrrrrs no smoke no valves stuck. my question is when should the solenoid have power high or low idle . gonna print the lincoln manual on gov adjustment . and i have 104 vdc at the terminals thanks for any advice you might have 4 me

On my R-57 idlers, the needle valve opens when power is applied to the solenoid. This relieves the vacuum and allows the machine to idle up.
You may just have to disassemble the idler and clean out the ports / lines. Check your fittings and vacuum line for leaks also. Thanks, Hobo
