Howdy

Hefty Lefty is a nickname I got at the shooting range some years ago when we were thinking up cowboy action names for one another.

I work in a very small shop as, for lack of a better term, a helper. The main work here is moto related and I make small custom steel for a few nyc folk. I think I spend more time reviving old tool machines and making small stuff out of steel/spare parts than other girls in the area but that is changing every day. My own shop is really still just a blank slate, just a couple months old. Reading the WW forum to glean some perspectives and advice is helping as I slowly build it into something useful.

What's currently in progress: attempting to breathe some new life into a WWII belt grinder and designing a table for a client, around an intricate old Japanese piece.

Pleased to meet ya

Re: Howdy

Thanks, Josh.

It's been a satisfying learning experience so far and the forum is always shedding some light. Seeing as you hail from Salt Lake, are you familiar with Salt Lake Sheet Metal Works shop on S. Main in SLC? I really enjoyed the tiny documentary on Neil Youngberg.
