Common cylinder sizes

Zap has posted a link to this in the past but for the lazy SOB's who ask anyway, here are the sizes of cylinder most common to find at home or in a small shop.
Please note dimensions are from base of cylinder to base of valve. Cu feet listed is for argon and will vary slightly with different gas mixtures, typically slightly less cu ft when used with helium or nitrogen.
If anyone wants to chime in with RECENT pricing from their locality that may be something others are interested in.

Re: Common cylinder sizes

I picked an Argon tank this week to lease ($0.20 a day) but non of the numbers correspond with what you have listed. On my paperwork it list it as "ARGON, SIZE 200, 282 CF. (it cost $30 to fill).
I have never been able to completely understand the tanks sizes and the numbers they are identified by.

Many companies use odd-sized lease-only tanks so that they can be identified if sold/stolen/swapped at a different supplier.

Re: Common cylinder sizes

The 250 is a "K" and the 330 is a "T" size.

I would think so. I pay $12 for a 150cf of argon

Edit: These are my own tanks that they just swap out. I also never pay hydro testing even when I've turned in tanks out of date by 10 yrs
