I've been reading the forum for a few weeks and it's been helpful. I'm new to welding, I just had my first experience today. Not too bad considering that I'm starting from zero. I'm a retired computer rat, retired to a farm and want to be able to weld things.

I wish I had started a few years earlier when my dad was still alive since he had some welding experience many years ago.

I'm on the wait list for the local voc ed welding class but they won't have any more classes until fall.
