351 Ford mounts

Just knocked up some tough engine mounts for a mates 351 Ford.
He keeps breaking them so, these should get the job done....copied another design I'd seen on the www.

Re: 351 Ford mounts

Nice design. I assume those are poly bushings? What are they from/where did you get them? Might have to copy this idea when it comes engine swap time.

Yup, poly suspension bushings, aftermarket for Nissan but you could use almost any decent bush.
I fluked getting the right diameter but, they're a tight fit in the tube and come with a bush.
All the design work is done in my plasma program (Design Edge) and, parts CNC plasma cut.
These are the second lot I've done, I did some others for a small block Chev, using the same principal altho, I can't take the credit for the design.
They're just a LOT better than bonded rubber.

Great work mick. Do you have any other pics of the car. Just curious to see what the 351w is going in.

Re: 351 Ford mounts

Hmmmmm.....wasn't paying enough attention, thought the Ford mounts were similar to the Chev, R & L.

WRONG!!!!!

All you Ford guys will know what I mean......anyways, problem solved, new ones made, both the friggin same instead of mirror image as shown........
Also cut the block mount holes oval, makes lining up a breeze, especially on older vehicles that may or may not be true.

More mounts, this time for Holden Torana, 308 Aussie V8.
Pics of the mounts being trial fitted, the Torana, plus, the Ford mounts in place.
Not me, not my shop.
