Howdy from Mark in N Texas

Been hiding and reading for a while now. Started welding on Dad's buzz box in about 1977. Still not any good, but graduated to a Miller Bluestar and now a Bobcat 250. Just tried out wire feed (flux core) last year. Mostly welding around the farm. My welds look like crud, but they seem to hold. I have already learned a bunch here about verts and horizontals and appreciate all the knowledge. I will TRY not to interject too much about safety.

Thanks Zap and Micro. Like I said, I have picked up some great pointers. As for safety, my wife says the unsafest person in town is an off the job safety man, so am not always as safe as I require on the job, but I do watch my eyes and my lungs.

Feel free to post pics of the farm jobs. Some of those repairs are among the more interesting in the trade. Welcome!

Howdy to a fellow Texan. I'm in north Austin....in fact, between Cedar Park and Round Rock. Welcome to the gang.
