Princess Auto welding helmet

Any Canadians out there have any experience with the Princess Auto (Power Fist) auto darkening welding helmet? It's on sale this week in their flyer for $55.00 CDN. I don't do alot of welding, would this be an ok welding helmet for a casual user/hobbiest?

Re: Princess Auto welding helmet

Yes, I have one that I bought about about a year ago - sale price then was about $69. I like it - it has worked fine. As I recall, it has three adjustments:
1 - knob darkness adjustment from 9 to 13
2 - inside switch for response speed
3 - inside switch for background
Anyway, I do only hobby welding and it has worked fine for 120 amp stick welding and 50-150 amp MIG welding.

I'd say go for it - besides Princess Auto's guarantee is the Best in the Business - it you are not satisfied - take it back for your money back - $$$ in your hand or credit card refund (not a store slip).
