is any one else not getting e-mail notification??

seems like i'm not getting notifications of posts in my e-mail ??
i dont have a spam blocker so they cant egt stuk in there??

Last one I received was from 11:27 pm. Have you been getting some all day or did they just stop?

its eratic ?? i got yours but didnt get any of the 8 in another one of my posts ?? havent been getting them for a wile now, just figured it was a glich that would clear up. i went into my controle panel and re-selected instant notification and resaved it but did nothing. i had several posts after mine in the upside down MIG weld's post but non came to me?? OODD and a pain to keep up with stuff that way also.

Sometimes it may be 4 to 6 posts before you get another. I think sometimes it helps to clear the database cache. The more members WW gets, the busier the server is for e-mailing notifications. I've been getting mine all along. Keep checking it and let me know if it changes.

i did not get this notification of your 2nd post to it ?? i got one of the other posts here but no notification of this one?? its strange i only get a few here and there with no known order or reason to wich i get or dont get. its imposible to fallow a thread this way.

Have you checked to make sure one didn't accidentally get deleted? Once deleted, in a few mail clients, it will consider that trash or spam and keep sending those similar e-mails to trash. I usually don't get an e-mail every time
someone responds to a thread. It usually varies between 2 and 4-ish. Keep an eye on it, we'll see if it's unique to your machine or not.

I know the e-mail notifications are working in general; I've just received a numer of them in the last few minutes.

Try clearing out your database cache and again resetting your Control Panel settings. If that doesn't work, let us know via PM and we'll call in one of the experts.

i dont know what that is or how that is done ?? i used to get a notification every time some one posted in a thread i was in. if 5 people posted befor i checked the e-mail it only sent the first one. but now i know of 4 out of 5 of the last threads i was in it did not notify me.

i deleat the e-mail after i read and click on it, but i have always done that so its not new. i am using outlook express so when i deleat them they just go from ny in box to my deleated file folder. same as always. i got this posts e-mail today, but didnt get the one from micro's 2nd post.

Well, given that your email address is peoplepc.com I suspect you do have a spam blocker and they are "protecting" you at the ISP level.

A lot of these services are automatic at the ISP level and they can be triggered by false spam reports, just simply a large number of emails coming in at one time, or a variety of other black arts reasons.

If its an "occasional" block, then I'd suspect its something automatic going on at peoplepc.com. The first thing I'd do is start going to the tech support there for the problem. They may simply have a personal whitelist option for you available, or perhaps they can do some investigating and raise the threshhold on their end.

To help them diagnose the problem you can forward them one of the emails that you *do* get and say that mails like this are getting blocked and that you'd like to know what can be done for them not to get blocked.

they had better not be stopping my e-mails from the sites. i dont think thats it though as i get far more from the miller sites, i moderate there so it would be a realy bad thing to not get notifications, its bad enough here. well its bad anywhere. its just realy hard to keep trac or fallow any threads when you get left out of the notification when you are in several at one time you cant remember to check them all every visit to see if some thing new has ben added.
so far no problems with e-mail from eather of the miller sites but i supose i could check with P.P.C to see if they are doing some thing like that.

What I do is come to this site and click the "new posts" button. then every new post since my last visit pops up. I would go insane with e-mail notifications clogging my inbox.

i supose i could try that but, with several sections do yoiu need to do that in every one?? like projects and then O/A, or selling & so on?
