Re: teardrop trailer welding rod ?
for general purpose fabrication the 6013 will do you a great job. That is what it was designed for. I have put together tons of trailers that were built with nothing but a 6013 and and never had any trouble with any of them. on the AC 225 you will be hard pressed to get satisfactory performance out of a low hydrogen rod. ~Jackson

E 6013 and E 7014 would be just fine for your application.

Re: teardrop trailer welding rod ?
For what you are doing and most mild steel work the 6013 is just right. As a personal note I don't have a huge selection of rods available locally but the 7014 we have available really gets to my nasal passages, I hate the smell and it causes me discomfort and I don't have to be the user, it can be someone else, if I get a whiff that's enough.

Re: teardrop trailer welding rod ?
7018 won't work with that welder, 7018AC will run fine. Like everyone else has said if you're making good welds with 6013 there no reason to change.
