New to TIG

I would like to get started with tig welding but am unsure what to get. I think I read here that someone had a Miller Thunderbolt with an HF box...?

I have an older Thunderbolt AC/DC. Can I get an add-on to use this for my power source?

Re: New to TIG

For DC TIG, you'll need a TIG torch, gas bottle, regulator, a power/gas adapter... and something to weld.

I don't think the thunderbolts have the capability to have a foot pedal ( for heat control ), so you're stuck with whatever amperage you choose. ( Though some machines can be controlled externally. )
