Tungsten inclusion at the 5 o'clock position!
It looks good. How about some specs?

Re: Sundown I, II, or III, please critique my weld?
Sundown (George) was a valued member of the forum and we lost him to Cancer (if I recall correctly) some time ago. He was a nice fellow.
No idea of there is even a member using SundownII SundownIII needs no introduction. I am guessing you are baiting him for some sort of perverse enjoyment? You guys REALLY should quit poking the bear with the stick. In any event... Carry on.

Welds look great. Man I have to start brewing again.
Cruz, are you the guy that was featured on last call in How To Brew magazine a few years back? The guy with his daughter standing in the kettle?

Re: Sundown I, II, or III, please critique my weld?
All grain, for years. 15-20 gallon batches.

Thats the only way to go, especially since extract prices have gone way up.

A bear poking another bear with a stick is always fun to watch.
a while back sundown and his merry men cheering him on with their pom poms got on me because I called around pricing jobs out with local buisnesses for a contract job. They thought it was unethical, and grabbed their pitchforks. Ive encountered many good welders like sundown, but at the end of the the day, their a bunch of premadonnas with bad attitudes. I was just having a little fun in this thread, not mean spirited, just ribbing him like I would anyone in the shipyard. Im sure his local followers will be along with their pom poms to cheer him on . Men like sundown and his groupies come a dime a dozen.

Re: Sundown I, II, or III, please critique my weld?
talk about primadonna! don't break your arm patting yourself on the back thinking you're a "bear", you are are still licking your pride from getting your lack of ethics pointed out. I don't remember that thread so I can't comment on it and I don't care to search for it to rehash it here. Shame you don't know what friendly ribbing is when you come out swing with words like primadonnas with bad attitudes, calling them mean spirited, and insinuation with the pom poms with the final remark of groupies come a dime a dozen. Yeah, i can see the fun loving friendly ribbing in your post.
What I see is lack of respect for oneself, petty behavior, and bitterness so thick your knickers need changing. Sorry I don't think Sundown will be suckered into this fight. Why would he? You already have given him a victory. |

Okay, I lied I had to go look it up.
Sundown didn't even post in that thread! ![]() HA, It was back in 08 and you are still licking your pride. Build a bridge and get over it. ![]() Here is the thread so you can reread it for yourself. You may need to refresh yourself. http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?t=21483 Last edited by Scott Young; 05-26-2012 at 09:08 PM. |

Re: Sundown I, II, or III, please critique my weld?
Sounds like "cruz" still hasn't figured it out.
Seems like my "band of followers" have minds of their own and don't need any proding from me. The experienced guys quickly figure who's for real and who a wannabe. Black Wolf figured this game out a long time ago.

I figured id get this kinda response. Like I said, guys like you come a dime a dozen. If you knew me, you would know I have nothing to be jealous of, trust me on that one, lol. Ive paved my way in your little welding world, and know it doesnt take much to be a pro if you just practice. You gents are not the only ones blessed with skill. The difference between me and you is that my skills never replaced my moral center.
