suggested shade for mig

Kinda new to the welding scence...just wondering what shade lens you suggest for MIG.

Whatcha welding and with what machine? I'd try a 9 and a 10, depending on amps and ambient light.

I have an autohood and set it above 11 when arc welding at night and all the way down to 9 when I'm welding with the sun beating on my head.
