Re: Toyota truggy project finaly out on the trails

thats all i have for this run, we just wanted to shake her down alittle, nothing
to crazy. Hopefully we will have more to post in the next few week. just a few minor bugs to work out, but all in all everything works good.

Happy new year everyone, may 2008 be filled with good health and great welds for all.

Wow! Sure looks fun! Guam huh? That truggy may come in handy after typhoons, eh?

yes Guam born and raised, and yes typhoons are a part of life out here, is just the price you pay for living on a island paradise.

The 2 1/2 years I spent there were some of the best years of my life. Is the load shedding done yet?

yup it is but just slightly, If you notice that the bump stop is also no where near makeing contact with the axle, this is why we made them adjustable..that is one of the bugs that need to be worked out.

HAHAHAAAA!!! The thing is, the taco's might not have much pure HP, but they fit in places a fullsize just can't get to, and are lighter, so they aren't quite as hard on parts. What a great finished project!!!!

Re: Toyota truggy project finaly out on the trails

Great job.!! In years gone by I used to build sand rails. Being in central WV they were called "Mud Buggies" as there is practically no sand & lots of muddy back roads. Now most of the guys around here for the non competition fun vehicle, are using the Suzuki Samuri. They really seem to take quite a beating & are inexpensive for a base starting vehicle.

he stopped counting a long time ago, but i would say this last transformation cost around $3000.00.

Re: Toyota truggy project finaly out on the trails

If you add up everything, i think it would cost $15,000.00 - $20,000.00 to build this rig from scratch.
