Steel Price

Where can i get a ballpark idea of how much some steeel is going to cost me to build a trailer. I'll be looking for some 6" channel and 4" angle. I just want to try and compare what it would cost me to build some things i need as oppossed to buying them outright, seeing as i won't have anything to do for a few months. I've priced all the other parts , but don't know where to look for steel pricing.

Here in the N.W., steel prices are pretty high.. We had a price listing on 3" pipe from 6-22-04 and I quoted a customer on it, then the steel came in with the invoice on 8-04 showing that it had gone up 100%. Needless to say, we lost a few bucks on that deal. So my advice would be to call around a bit, you might get a great deal on older prices.

Shapiro Supply is a distributor in St Louis that has their standard assortment listed online, with prices.
I do not know how often they adjust their prices, or how often they update their website.
