arc master 200 ac/dc

Does anyone here have one yet? Obviously a little more power than the 185 unit.
I remember someone here saying they get around 200 amps output on dc from their 185. Do you think a 200 could get a little more that the rated dc output?

Seems like a much better deal than the dynasty 200 dx...I have recently sold off everything and and want to get a arcmaster 200.

thanks

Re: arc master 200 ac/dc

I have the 185 that WILL put out 200 amps DC tig all day. I have checked it more than once with more than one meter. I think they are the same machine.

I was looking at the 185. I asked the dealer about the 200 amp machine. Its still rated for 160 stick, so......Not much of a better machine in my eyes. 15 amps tig, none more stick for about $400.00 more. I bought the 185. I have used it a lot, sometimes all day. Never hit thermal over load. You will never hit thermal overload with an air cooled torch anyhow. I have a water cooled torch and used the heck out of it.

Re: arc master 200 ac/dc

Unless you need to run it on 3-phase, get the 185. The extra money for the 200 isn't worth it unless you need the 3-phase connection ability, in my opinion anyways.
