E-Bay Cut50

My name is Duane and I’ve served in the US Army for more then 21 years and I just started using E-Bay and my first purchase was the Everlast Cut50 Plasma Cutter. The Plasma cutter works fine but it is not a 50amp tourch like is says on ebay. I would hope that Everlast reads this and get’s back with me at hdson2002@sbcglobal.net. But because I needed a 50AMP tourch. asap.

Re: E-Bay Everlast Cut50! NOT!

What does being in the Army and needing a torch have in common.

Sorry a bit touchy on this topic...I hate people who use it as a crutch so they can try to get someone to feel patriotic and help them. He led with the statement not included it in his question or experience welding/cutting.

As a former Ranger of 15 years (Bronze Star with a "V", from before they handed them out for just showing up, ETS in 1998), who fought in 3 combat tours and served in Bosnia as the bodyguard of the Chief of Staff of NATO, who currently works at US Army Recruiting Command at Fort Knox.

I don't see people saying they are a 25 year fireman or a veteran police officer hurt in the line of duty. It has no bearing on the topic.

Re: E-Bay Everlast Cut50!

Duane, (if you are for real read the last two paragraphs)

I can start with, "I have been in the Army for 21 years", so you are older than 37? "I just learned about Ebay" (I see the bogus post going away). I think everyone knows about Ebay. Not sure what the tie is there and not sure if serving for 21 years that we can not see TV and the internet or use Ebay..

Anyway. Can we get details rather than a profile on you so we can get to the fix for you?

Can you detail how you know this is not a 50amp plasma cutter? Arc size would help? What you are cutting, etc. Details would help.

And by the way, thank you for serving. You can thank my "family" as well.

So let's get to details rather than talk about our/MY flag please.

Have you swapped the consumables to make sure there is no spatter in it? Can you tell me what you are cutting (you have the compressor at 65+ PSI connected too right)?

Can you give more details?

Re: E-Bay Everlast Cut50!

Duane: Look on the neck of the torch. Mine had PT-31 in very small print molded on the neck. If it has a RED handle with a WHITE CERAMIC CUP, it probably is the PT-31 (40A) Torch. Alex was very helpful in getting me a proper torch for my CUT-50D. Take care. Burt

Nothing rude, I find it odd, that's all. And we have not heard anything back here, but I did ask for details to help fix the issue. I also see one other member found it odd as well.

Anyways, he is new to Ebay and ex-Military. Both sound like a good thing.

He has not been back with his issue here. I guess he figured it out or he called the office and it was fixed over the phone. So that is a good thing. Happy customers.

Re: E-Bay Everlast Cut50!

I would have never remembered the post, except that it started off with the "I have been in the Army" part. Then the De-ja-vu thing started kicking in. What do ya say.... What do ya do....

Leave Alex alone. What about me and Richard.

And you forgot about sending a torch to Cuba.
