Hello from Saint Paul
G'morning,
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Thaddeus. I am here because I will be learning GTAW for the next little while and will be asking for advice. I am going to be building a 'Locost' Lotus 7 replica out of square steel tube and my research told me TIG would be the best way to arrive at a frame of acceptable quality. I have a number of other metal-working projects under my belt. here's a few pictures of things I have made in the last couple of years. 100 pound silicon bronze bell I cast: ![]() An electric-assist recumbent tricycle (done with wire-feed Lincoln... eh) ![]() ![]() And a racing sailing dinghy based on an Alumacraft canoe I cut apart and re-formed using rivets. MAN I wish I had welded it! ![]() ![]() ![]() I look forward to meeting you all and learning much! cheers Thaddeus

Re: Hello from Saint Paul
Welcome Thaddeus,
You will find this place full of very bright and seasoned weldors, able to answer most any question you have. If you do your homework first you will find that you get better help.
