Hotdog/Sausage/Asparagus Guard Rail..

Ever get annoyed when your food rolls off the grille when your not looking?

I do..
So I made a Guard Rail for the grille..
1/8" X 1 1/2" X 15" round 6061..

Grille..

3 Tabs evenly spaced..

And as an extra added bonus I get 1 1/2" extra height for the lid..

No more picking up stuff that rolls off anymore..

Not exactly..
The grille came from Northern Equipment OR Harbor Freight..
I can't remember..

But it is an 15" aluminum rim...
I made the base and now the rail..
I've had the grille for about 5 years now..
I don't remember seeing them in the 8000 catalogs I still get from both places..

...zap!

I am with Micro and Sandy...The fire clenses all...besides, dirt adds flavor AND texture. However, I do like the tire rim grille...I wished i'd thought of that when I recycled my TRX rims...
