As always, you presume way too much. I have no interest in cheap machines that will not last. That is why my efforts are being steered towards a Synch 250 at the moment...not an el cheapo, no matter how good or how cheap.

Just because some here aren't interested in the trials, their results or who finally got it to happen doesn't mean that everyone here isn't. I have all the equipment I need but still would like to know if the imports are willing to try to prove their claims, and want to see what happens if the machines fail. I give Zap credit for pursuing the idea too; nobody here including those who bitched the most about the imports seem to have done anything to prove things one way or the other.

For those who aren't interested, why take the trouble to say you aren't or ask why he posted here? Your posting a reply implies far more that you have a political agenda than Zap's original post which you didn't have to read if you don't like him or his ways.

i have a miller 140 mig
a lincoln AC/DC 225 Idealarc
a harris A / O hose rig
and i just ordered a Longev LS 160P Plasma / tig rig i am a hobbyist and semiretired and need to watch pennies very carefully..especially for my hobby
i would love to know hoy the longevity is really going to work side by side with Big blue
even if just for ' grins"
personally... i think they ( the ' big 3" china syndrome boxes) will do surprisingly well regardless of cost

where and when will I see the results ???

The very fact that zappy comes here to post about the contest, but wouldn't post results here showed what he was up to off the bat. So how is it my fault or I had a political agenda for merely lifting the veil on his attempt at rubbing everyone's noses in it?? He started it with post #1...not me. I just have a finely tuned BS filter that shows him up for what he really is. Bash me all you want here and on micro's site....I don't care. Just get it right, ok? You and I don't know each other from Adam so if you say "shove it" I'll respect that, your experience and knowledge and do so but from where I am I don't see where you were being blamed for anything. Rojodiablo was very specific in his admonishment of the OP and I personally don't see his zero tolerance comment being directed at anyone other than all of us that "can read". Being as specific as he was in addressing the OP why wouldn't he have been with you or anyone else that posted if that's what he meant it to mean.

I have no argument with your insight into the situation and also have none with the action taken by Rojodiablo and thankful for it being as swift as it was.

Well, my "tirade" was directed at some comments that have been made on both sites. I am not on Micro's site, so it wasn't posted there. Myself, I don't care. I just hate seeing whining that always happens when someone has the audacity to put zappy in his place. He got what he deserved, IMO. Blue guys never see it that way and will rally around zappy no matter what he does. Dog pees on the floor, he gets whacked with the newspaper. zappy gets no less when he does it.
