Powcon problems

I just acquired a 200sm that I can get to function with a ln25 and fluxcore on vs CC, but wont stick weld. Can start an arc with 7018 but runs poorly and then fizzles out so to speak. Have to turn the machine up all the way to get that. ln 25 ran well though. Machine is a little different from my other one; has no puddle control and is single phase only. Nothing obviously burnt or missing. LED ight on front panel doesnt light up though. Makes most of the usual powcon noises, ticking and squeeling etc. Where should I look? Input wiring is pretty light; 12-3 but doesnt get hot. Thanks, Steve

Took a chance when I bought this one; machine didnt work so price got down to the point where a loss wasnt going to send me to the poor house. Turned out to be a loose wire on the process control switch. Now works to perfection, smooth high pitch squeal, spray arcs and smaw like a mother. Feeder, sm200 and 100+ feet of leed for 3 bills. Me happy....
