Custom Bike Rack / Art

Our company has a huge volunteer project every year in the fall. The project usually brings out around 700 people form the company and we all work specific projects at the same location on a single day. Our specific volunteer team is made up of engineers that happen to also love to work with metal. While others are painting and landscaping, we are in the corner burning some steel!

This year the agency asked for some small bike racks to help keep the little kid bikes organized. We used Autocad and the Wagner Tube Bends catalog and came up with a design that worked well. As a surprise to the agency, we built them one big art-deco style bike rack to put out in front of the facility. They loved it. Everything was built from 2" Sch 40 pipe and worked out well.

Ask for a wrench and someone will offer you a grinder.
I'll just keep on keepin' on.

Re: Custom Bike Rack / Art

Great ideas. How do you plan on mounting the one with triangles on it?
